Wisconsin Educators Offered an
Opportunity to
Visit U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington, D.C.
Middle and High School educators from public, private and
sectarian school settings are encouraged to apply to participate in an
educational training program that includes a one-day trip to the U.S. Holocaust
Memorial Museum in Washington, D.C. The Milwaukee Jewish Council for Community
Relations sponsors the program, in cooperation with the Coalition for Jewish
Learning Holocaust Education and Resource Center.
The Wisconsin Educators U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum Trip and Educational Seminar is designed to provide participants with accessibility to educational resource materials related to the Holocaust as well as the opportunity to visit the US Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington, DC. The goal of the project is to expand Wisconsin educators’ knowledge and ability to effectively teach students about the Holocaust, as well as its universal and contemporary implications.
The
trip is made possible through a generous grant from the Helen Bader Foundation,
Inc. The deadline for applications is May 30, 2008. To receive an
